Adjondi Gosseaux, DNP, APRN, NP-C, MSN
Adjondi brings more than 20 years of nursing experience in critical care and emergency medicine, with a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and later completed her Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate and Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Chamberlain University. Her clinical background includes emergency medicine, orthopedics, neurosurgery, trauma, general surgery, and surgical breast cancer care. During her doctoral program, she focused on evidence-based surgical practices and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols aimed at improving patient outcomes and reducing surgical site infections. Adjondi is passionate about combining clinical excellence, patient education, and innovative healthcare practices to support optimal patient wellness and outcomes.

Amber Barton, APRN, FNP-C
After retiring from the United States Air Force, Ms. Barton pursued a career in nursing at Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing, where she graduated in 2019. She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department at Bon Secours Mercy Health-Lorain. Amber went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bowling Green State University and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner program at Chamberlain University. Ms. Barton is driven to help the local community in any way she can and finds fulfillment in providing a helping hand to anyone that needs assistance.

Nicole Fleming, APRN, FNP-BC
Ms. Fleming earned her Bachelor’s in Health Science and Bachelor’s in Nursing from Cleveland State University, and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University. She has six years of experience as an Emergency Room nurse, one year as an ER assistant manager, and one year in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). In 2023, she was honored with the Daisy Award in recognition of her compassionate care. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Fleming is qualified to care for patients across the lifespan. She is passionate about focusing on the foundations of health and treating disease at its root cause to promote long-term wellness.

Laura Spasic, MSN, AGNP-C
Ms. Spasic graduated from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then went on to successfully receive her Master of Science in Nursing and her certification as an Adult Practitioner from The University of Akron. Laura specializes in adult medicine, and joined Family Health Services in 2017.

Valerie Castillo, APRN, CNP-BC
Valerie started her career in 1991 as a State Tested Nursing Aid in long-term care. She advanced her nursing studies to include Licensed Practical Nursing in 1994, Registered Nursing in 2001, Bachelor’s in Nursing in 2010 and Master’s in Nursing with focus on family nurse practitioner in 2016.
Her care philosophy is patient-specific centered care. Valerie believes not one individual is identical and that every patient has different healthcare needs encompassed around his or her belief system.

Jennifer Kearney, FNP-C
Ms. Kearney graduated with a Registered Nurse Diploma from Providence Hospital School of Nursing. She continued her education at Bowling Green State University earning a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Finishing her education at Kaplan University, Ms. Kearney received a Masters of Science in Nursing and a Family Nurse Practitioner degree. While she has been practicing in the Sandusky area as a Nurse Practitioner since 2017, Ms. Kearney brings a total of 25 years of nursing experience. She has extensive experience managing bone health and is excited to provide senior care to our local seniors.

Claudia Corso, MA, LPC
Claudia earned her Bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in Childhood Development and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University. She has experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, and adults. She supports concerns such as anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and family-related challenges. Claudia incorporates evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), within a trauma-informed and client-centered framework. She is committed to helping clients build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional awareness, and make meaningful, lasting changes.

Karen Quinn, MSW, LISW
Karen is a Licensed Independent Social Worker, licensed since 2017, who is dedicated to supporting individuals through mental health challenges, trauma, and life transitions. She brings experience working with diverse populations and uses a compassionate, client-centered approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care. Karen is committed to creating a safe, inclusive space for all, especially members of the LGBTQIA+ community and has a special interest in working with individuals impacted by PTSD, including military service members and their families. She holds an associate degree from The Ohio State University, a Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Toledo, and a Master of Social Work from Case Western Reserve University and focuses on meeting clients where they are while helping them build practical tools for healing, resilience, and lasting change.

Josalyn Woodruff, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Dr. Woodruff earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University before pursuing advanced nursing education at the University of Toledo, where she obtained both her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees.
She brings over seven years of experience in psychiatric nursing as a Registered Nurse, providing care to individuals across the lifespan. Dr. Woodruff specializes in the treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and ADHD.
She is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care and is passionate about improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by mental health challenges.

Taylor Crum, MSW, LSW, LICDC
Taylor is a dually licensed therapist, having both her LSW (Licensed Social Worker) and LICDC (Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor). Taylor is a Cleveland State University graduate obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminology in 2016, and Master of Social Work in 2025. Taylor has nearly 10 years of experience supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use and mental health challenges. Her clinical background in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and training in trauma-informed care promotes a client-centered, collaborative approach to treatment. Taylor’s goal is to help clients develop practical coping skills, increase emotional regulation, and build skills necessary to achieve and maintain long-term recovery.

Nicole is a Licensed Social Worker and a 2025 graduate of Bowling Green State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She is deeply passionate about mental health and dedicated to creating a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their personal growth. Nicole is committed to fostering an inclusive environment in which individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace.

McKensey Huffman, MSW, LSW
McKensey graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and completed a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas in 2018. McKensey utilizes a holistic and trauma-informed approach to provide support to clients of all backgrounds, with specific experience serving adolescents in the school setting, individuals who are autistic or have a diagnosis of ADHD, and clients who identify as LGBTQ+.

Mary Peters, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC
Ms. Peters obtained her Registered Nurse diploma from Providence Hospital, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from College of Mount Saint Joseph, a Master’s in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree through the University of Toledo, a Doctor of Nursing through the University of Toledo and Wright State University Consortium, and her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification through the University of Cincinnati. Mary looks forward to serving her patients and the community.

Anthony Schalk, LPCC, LICDC, Lead Therapist
Anthony is dual licensed having both his LPCC (Licensed Practicing Clinical Counselor) and his LICDC (Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor). Anthony has over 13 years of experience in community mental health working with children and adults with mental health and substance use concerns. Anthony is certified in EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, used to treat past trauma. Anthony is also trained in the use of CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing which are used to treat a variety of mental health and substance use disorders. Anthony graduated from Kent State University with his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2012 and from Walden University with his Masters in Clinical Counseling in 2021.

Joseph Veliz, MSW, LISW-S, Lead Therapist
Mr. Veliz graduated from Bowling Green State University and continued his education at Case Western Reserve University for his Master’s in Social Work. He has been licensed since 2005 with a focus in mental health and works with all ages using evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Mr. Veliz also addresses social and family adjustments and mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, and inattention. He has extensive training in working with individuals that have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Kelly Wilhelm, MSW, LISW, CDCA
Ms. Wilhelm is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Chemical Dependency Counselor. She completed her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University in Social Work and obtained her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. Kelly is also the National Association of Social Workers Erie County Representative. Kelly has experience in crisis response services, family therapy, and individual counseling to children, teens, and adults. She is trained in EMDR and holds her certificate of completion. Kelly also is proficient in TF-CBT as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her passion is to serve those suffering with mental health issues while reducing barriers that they may face.

Dameka McKinstry, MSW, LSW
Ms. McKinstry was born in Fremont Ohio. She attended University of Toledo for undergrad and then went on to attend Walden University where she received her master’s in social work. Dameka has lots of experience working with troubled youth in the foster care system as well as some experience with teens who were either on probation or incarcerated in juvenile jail. Ms. McKinstry is looking forward to working with all populations and will be providing services in the Hayes office location of Family Health Services

Emily Torrick, BSW, LSW
Mrs. Torrick graduated from Bowling Green State University with a BSSW in August 2025. She is continuing her education at Ohio State University for her Masters in Social Work. Mrs. Torrick brings years of healthcare experience with her from 16 years of service as an Air Force medic, as well as being a Licensed Practical Nurse. She is passionate in her belief that no one can ever be physically healthy if they are not emotionally healthy, and she looks forward to assisting all individuals to achieve the healthiest version of themselves.

Nicole Beck, MSW, LSW
Nicole Beck is a Licensed Social Worker dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate life’s challenges and improve their overall well-being. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Bowling Green State University in 2021 and her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2026. Nicole has experience providing counseling services to individuals across the lifespan and works with concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, behavioral challenges, relationship difficulties, substance use, and life transitions. Her approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and tailored to meet each person’s unique needs and goals. Nicole believes that meaningful change occurs through a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and collaboration. She is committed to helping clients develop effective coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and build lasting resilience. Nicole provides services through the Norwalk office and Monroeville Schools and welcomes clients seeking support at any stage of their journey.

Jocelyn Wollenslegel, MSW, LSW
Ms. Wollenslegel graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2024. Jocelyn has experience utilizing CBT, play therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. Jocelyn enjoys providing mental health therapy services for children and teens within the FHS Huron School Clinic and South Campus Location.

Joseph Knable, MSW, LSW
Mr. Knable is passionate about helping young people, veterans, and others who struggle with depression, anxiety, addictions, and other challenges live better lives and thrive. He graduated from Cedarville University with a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Language Arts Education. He went on to receive his Master of Social Work from Case Western Reserve University and his certification as a Licensed Social Worker. Joseph specializes in child and adolescent mental health and trauma-informed therapy. Joseph is trained in Cogitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR.) Joseph gratefully serves kids and teens at Sandusky schools and people of all ages at our South Campus location. Joseph is a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Ms. Spears earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics from Ashland University. She then went on to complete a Dietetic Internship at WVU Medicine Hospitals in Morgantown, WV. Amanda has 6 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian. She has a passion for Food is Medicine and community outreach. Her goal is to meet patients where they are and help them create sustainable nutrition changes in their daily routine.

Kendal Kasper, MPH, RD, LD
Ms. Kendall graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and then continued her education at Kent State University earning a Master of Public Health with a concentration in social and behavioral sciences. Kendall then went on to complete the requirements to become a Registered Dietitian and completed a yearlong dietetic internship with Sodexo with a focus in weight management. Kendall is happy to call the area her new home and looks forward to helping her patients make sustainable dietary changes that promote overall well-being.

Joseph Rizk, DMD – Dental Director
Dr. Joseph Rizk completed his Bachelor of Biological Sciences from Wayne State University and received his Master of Basic Medical Sciences from Wayne State University. Dr. Rizk went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Temple Kornberg School of Dentistry. He has over 10 years of experience performing operative, oral surgery, endodontics, removable and fixed dental procedures. He has extensive knowledge and experience of dental clinic operations, maintenance, payroll, budgeting, and recruiting. Dr. Rizk successfully provided complete direction and oversight of the entirety of Mary’s Center Dental Department in Washington D.C. Additionally, Dr. Rizk serves as FHS’ Dental Director.

Fiorella Lamas Castillo, DDS
Dr. Fiorella Lamas Castillo, DDS, received her Bachelor of Stomatology from Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University. Upon completing dental school, she continued her training at the same university in a Master of Stomatology, a diploma in Periodontics, and a Specialty in Periodontics and Implants. She attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency from 2019 to 2021. Dr. Lamas Castillo is a Board-Certified dentist, with experience in restorative, cosmetic, removable & fixed dental procedures, and interests in surgical and regenerative periodontal procedure. Dr. Lamas Castillo speaks fluent English and Spanish and sees patients at our Norwalk location!

Jasmina Saric, DDS
Dr. Jasmina Saric, DDS, graduated from the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2004. She came to the U.S. in December 2009 where she completed her National Board Dental Exam I and II. In 2013, she was accepted to the Advanced Education General Dentistry (AGED) program at NYU Langone in Flint, MI. Upon completing her AEGD, she stayed two additional years at the same FQHC to work as a dental provider. Dr. Saric has experience in restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, removable and fixed prosthodontics. She enjoys working in community health clinics and making a difference in public health.

Esther Yi, DMD
Dr. Yi received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Economics from Kalamazoo College and thereafter, obtained a Master of Science in Physiology from the University of Michigan. She has years of experience in the dental field as a dental assistant, oral pathologist assistant, and hygienist. Dr. Yi graduated as a dentist from Tufts University with a 4-year scholarship for the National Health Service Corps. She is dedicated in career focused on delivering compassionate care and promoting health equity.
